Hi , I’m Christine and live in Wimberley, Texas. I’m a watercolor artist, mixed-media artist, and I hand craft organic skin care products. I have an art studio in Wimberley, Art on 12, as well as a studio in my home. Being an artist is my second career; previously I was an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist. Being an artist is second nature to me as I’ve always had a passion for creating
It wasn’t until I joined two groups, “Created to Thrive” by Matt Tommy” and “Circle of Blessings” by Sara Thurman did I realize I needed to move towards a full time creative path. I’m primarily self-taught, but have taken classes from professional artists Jill Poyerd and Kelly Edington. I also belong to private Facebook groups: “Sketching Every Day”, as well as “Sparklers Art Club” for art teachers.
Hello, my name is Aurelia Ann, and I live in Southern Oregon. I consider myself a photographer and a self-taught artist with a few art classes I have taken at the community college and from local art teachers. I work with all mediums from oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels and color pencils. I also enjoy quick drawings, urban sketching and working with inks-markers, finishing the pieces with splashes of watercolor. I wasn’t always a photographer or artist. Once I moved to Southern Oregon, I fell in love with the beauty of this state. There is so much to see and do: waterfalls, wildlife, lakes, rivers, hiking and camping. This gives me numerous opportunities to take photos, and draw or paint what I see.
I am also a wife, grandmother and a babysitter to four senior Brittany dogs. When I am not as busy, I part-time teach in our local schools and attend book clubs. If I am not engrossed in the aforementioned, I am cheering for my favorite sports teams. I enjoy football, hockey, soccer and baseball…so be forewarned…you might see me cheering for my favorite team once in awhile.
Hi! My name is Grace and I live on the lovely island of Maui, Hawaii. Hawaii is a great place for inspiration with its abundance of art galleries, beaches and tropical landscapes. My art interests is drawing with ink and watercolor, or with color pencils. I enjoy spontaneously drawing what I see around me, which gives me an opportunity to create urban sketches and record daily life in Hawaii.
In the forty years of being in Hawaii, I’ve been fortunate in associating with artists in the community. At a young age, being an artist came naturally for me. My most memorable event was sculpturing with clay, and later being selected to display my piece at California State University, Dominguez Hills. When I am not drawing, I am working as a Massage Therapist/Esthetician, giving aromatherapy treatments, hanging out with my spouse, spending time with my French Bull dog, and playing ukulele and classical guitar. My hopes is to eventually retire and pursue my art interest full-time.
